Hello everyone do we use blank or the in this case ?

Teacher: There are many ways to use the word "xyz* (mean a random word). You can use this word in many cases, for example : " she xyz ...."

Student: Oh ! Teacher, so I can use this word in _______(blank/the) cases which is similar to the one above.

==> So should I use blank or "the" in this case ?
